The Danish Family Reunification Rules

Are you considering applying for family reunification in Denmark? This free webinar will give you and your spouse an overview of the rules and the application process.

There are many things to keep track of when you need to apply for family reunification.  If you live outside the EU and have a spouse/partner who is not a citizen of the EU/EEA, the Danish rules will most often be used to obtain family reunification, and a residence permit in Denmark.

You may find this process confusing or be unfamiliar with the rules, so Danes Worldwide is hereby inviting all expatriate Danes with a non-EU spouse to review the rules with our legal advisor Lisbeth Kjersgaard.

Please note that this webinar will not address family reunification under the EU rules. (Read more about the difference here)

Program

  • Presentation of the Danish rules for family reunification
    • What are the requirements for obtaining family reunification
    • Which application to use
    • What documentation must be attached to the application
  • The recent EU-ruling and common Danish children
  • The application process itself
  • The options for submitting the application

After the presentation there will be an opportunity to ask any questions, you might have.

Target audience

The event is open to all expatriate Danes with a non-EU spouse/partner residing outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland who are considering settling in Denmark. A membership with Danes Worldwide is not required.
